Dr. Ann Moore, D.O. Dr. Ann Moore
Dr. Moore is board certified in internal medicine with additional certification in geriatrics and hospice-palliative medicine.  She is certified as a Medical Director by the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA) and serves as the current President of the Indiana Chapter.

The full-time presence of Dr. Moore at Peabody Retirement Community has helped nursing staff develop the necessary skills to provide care for many residents in their Peabody residences during illnesses that may otherwise require hospitalization.

Her training and continued participation in educational seminars mean that she is effective in the diagnosis and management of a variety of illnesses and chronic conditions that affect older adults.  She understands how many common medical conditions and their associated treatments may impact an older adult differently than a younger person.  Dr. Moore continues her commitment to improving the quality of medical care and resident life through her involvement in various national and regional medical oversight bodies.

Dr. Moore established her practice at Peabody in 2000 and continues to serve as our Director of Health Administration.

Carol White, MS, RN, GNPNurse Practitioner helps resident
Dr. Moore's efforts are enhanced with nurse practitioner support. Carol White is a certified geriatric nurse practitioner whose career has been almost entirely working with older persons. Her long-term care experience began as a nursing assistant.  As her education and training increased, she held positions as a staff nurse, nurse educator and Director of Nursing.  Her career has culminated in her present position as a Masters-prepared board-certified Nurse Practitioner.

Primary Care Physicians
While all residents have the opportunity to continue receiving care from their physician, many residents choose to name the practice of Dr. Moore and Ms. White as their physician of choice.  This ability to provide continuity of care for residents in their own home at Peabody Retirement Community is just one of the many benefits provided by our skilled caregivers.
