Blessed Beginnings child care services

Blessed Beginnings welcome signFinding great childcare can be a daunting task.  Peabody Retirement Community has risen to the task of creating just that ... a great child care provider.  Blessed Beginnings Daycare Services are available to children of Peabody employees and, when openings are available, to the local community. Located in two houses on the edge of campus, Blessed Beginnings offers programs for infants, toddlers, after-school and school-aged summer camp.  Our trained childcare staff offer a caring and educational environment perfect for enhancing and mastering skills of everyday living.

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can.
-- John Wesley

Infant and Toddler Programming

Located in the "beige" brick house, Infant and Toddler programsInfant and Toddler house of Blessed Beginnings  are available twelve hours per day, Monday through Friday, for ages six weeks through preschool.  Healthy and nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by our staff childcare workers and include breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.  The infant and toddler participants learn early life skills, such as how to share, be nice to others and active listening.  Older participants may learn to tie shoes, beginning reading and other age-appropriate tasks.  Our childcare providers are able and ready to assist your child wherever needed.  Inter-generational programs unite the infant and toddler group with the residents of the Peabody campus.  The benefits to both age groups are enormous -- smiles are everywhere!

School Aged Programming

The school-aged children of Blessed Beginnings enjoy Kids Kamp summer daycare program at Blessed Beginningsmany activities and lessons appropriate for their level of development.  Affectionately known as "Kids Kamp" during the summer months, the school-aged group (kindergarten through age 12) enjoys so many activities there are often fewer days of the week than fun things to do.  Costs for the program are "per day" based on the number of days per week your child attends, and are discounted to Peabody employees.  Each child is assessed a small annual field trip fee (just $25 for all of 2004) which includes transportation, admission and meals to fabulous destinations such as:
