Applications for the 2007 Eleanor Steele Doll Fund program are currently available. The Community Foundation of Wabash County gives income from the Doll Fund annually to Peabody Retirement Community for the purpose of providing toys to needy children in the North Manchester area. The residents and staff at Peabody then assist with the purchase, wrapping and distribution of the toys.

Every family with elementary-age children in the Manchester Area School District will be receiving a Doll Fund application from their child’s teacher in the next few days. For those families that home school their children, have children too young for school or have misplaced their applications, Doll Fund applications are currently available at the North Manchester Public Library and at the Manchester Community Pool. These two locations are also serving as collection points for completed applications.

All applications must be submitted no later than Monday, December 3, 2007 by noon in order to be considered. Please note that the submission of an application is not a guarantee that your child will receive a gift from the Eleanor Steele Doll Fund.
